Hand Marionette WIP 2

For my Steampunk costume i plan on wearing at Fanime this year.
It looks done, but i still have to tweak a few things and do the finishing touch-ups. (and replace most of the wood parts! >~<')
Things i still need to do:
1. The string setup, is not as tight as it needs to be. need to shorten the strings.
2. I also want to replace the elastic cords that pull the fingers back, with springs. the cord isn't holding up as well as i thought it would, also i think springs would make it look better.
3. I want to stain the wood a nice dark tone. Maybe put in a few artistic carvings on the top and sides.

4. The wood on the palm cracked were one of the screws from the thumb goes, so i'll have to remake a new palm. It's ok though because i was planning on changing it to a left handed prop anyway.
5. i'll have to find a better wood for the arm. the one you see in the picture is some kind of composite wood that's staring to break apart. also, i don't think i'll be able to carve any well detailed designs in this wood because of how the grain works.
